| Andre Lebron "The first day I had the pleasure of meeting Richard Dunning and Louis Paulucci and hearing about the Stealthshoe for the first time, was the first day I tried this new “Stealthshoe” horse shoe. After introducing me to the shoe, Mr. Paulucci asked if I had any (lame) horses I would like to try them on. We were at the West Milford Equestrian Center in New Jersey where I have a client with a horse named Cincinnati. Chronic lameness along with radiographic findings left him with a dismal navicular diagnosis. Scheduled for a neurectomy, there was nothing to lose and potentially everything to gain in trying the Stealthshoe. We unpacked the truck and brought Cincinnati out, who was having a particularly bad day, he came out to the cross ties head bobbing and lame walking down the cement isle. I proceeded to shape the Stealthshoe using just my hammer and anvil. They were unexpectedly easy to shape. While nailing the shoe on I was pleasantly surprised at how nicely they nailed up on the horses foot. After finishing the job we walked Cincinnati back to his stall, we were slightly disappointed that there didn’t seem to be that much of a change immediately. But, after three days I checked back to see how he was doing, and was happy to find a marked difference in the way the horse was walking around. Although he was still not 100% at the trot he was walking confidently around the property on all different kinds of footing, from cement to sand and gravel. I am excited to report that after just three weeks in the new shoes the horse is comfortable, sound and back to light work! The owner could not be happier, and my expectations of the shoe were far surpassed by the results. We are continuing to monitor Cincinnati’s progress and will keep you updated. I am now putting these shoes on a variety of horses, some suffering from various arthritic conditions as well as a few sound competition horses. I am optimistic with the early results found with Cincinnati and the Stealthshoe. As a farrier of the past 20+ years, I have not come across many “revolutionary” products but many fads. The Stealthshoe is an easy to apply concussion-absorbing system for horses. Reducing concussion before it enters the hoof has a great upside in helping lower limb and hoof lameness as well as maintaining soundness in a healthy horse. The reduction of concussion is definitely not a fad. I look forward to using this product and monitoring the progress of all the horses I have used it on." |
